The "No Turn Away" policy is the heartbeat of the Blk Virginia Theatre Alliance’s mission to make theater a universal right rather than a luxury. It is a commitment to radical accessibility—ensuring that financial status never dictates who gets to experience "artivism" in our community.

In practice, our policy is simple:

If there is an empty seat in the house and a patron walks through our doors wanting to see a show but cannot afford a ticket, we seat them. By prioritizing people over profits and maintaining a high accessibility rate (often over 60%), we ensure that our stories remain available to the very voices they center. Whether through "Pay-What-You-Can" models or this open-door guarantee, we are dedicated to dismantling barriers and ensuring that everyone has a place in our theater.
